The new fashion trends – Part 1

What will you wear this fall? Choose your favorite outfits from the strongest and most influential trends from the catwalk

1

Military

The military inspired looks take, if I may say so, the offensive – they are back on the fasion front and more powerful then ever. I’ve seen them in many collections on the podium, but I’ve carefully chosen for you a few in shades of khaki – the coats from Prada and Marni, the silk skirt from Wera Vang, woen with a short sweater, the Rag and Bone dress or the large pants from Ports 1961.

2

Tartan

Again, it’s a trend with an amazing come-back, which we salute – and, after all, how would the cold season look without tartan?! Chanel proposes a white, burgundy and black checkered suit, Tod’s chooses white, black and grey shades, while Etro bets on black and purple. At Burberry Prorsum, however, we find more color: yellow, blue, white and black.

3

80s

The 80s flamboyant madness returns and it’s just as strong: intense colors, bright materials, accessories that simply cannot be ignored, short dresses and oversized shoulders. The best examples we can find belong to Kenzo, Fendi or Saint Laurent. Or in our mothers’ photos back in the day :).

4

Animal print

Now present almost every season, this autumn brings animal print jackets with fur collar (as seen at No 21 and Ermanno Scervino), but also with dresses (Emanuel Ungaro) or large trousers (just like in the collection signed by Dries van Noten).

5

Indigo

It’s probably the coolest hue that I’ve seen on the podium. The indigo evening gowns or suits, worn with black accessories, have really dominated the fashion catwalks. Find inspiration at Balenciaga, Sonia Rykiel, Issey Myiake or Derek Lam.

6

Desconstructed outfits

At first glance, it seems that the designers have played and randomly created some outfits from different pieces of fabric. Far from playing, they look sensational! We have been drawn by Mila Schon’s attire, the black and white outfit from DKNY, and the white, gorgeous dress signed by AF Vandevorst.

7

Pop colors

Yes, the strong shades are held in high esteem even in the cold season. We fell in love with the yellow total look from Max Mara, the green one from Barbara Bui, as well as the brightly colored coats from Valentino, Celine or Isabel Marant collections.

8

Punk

Yet another trend that we love! Black leather jackets with metal studs and zippers, boots and… long dresses or skirts. It’s a bold contrast, which just looks great. Mulberry has opted for a nearly transparent dress, Marc Jacobs has also chosen a translucent dress, but with feathers at the bottom, while Valentino has assorted the leather jacket with a black tulle evening dress. Looks cool or what?

9

Large trousers

No matter if they are created from fabric, denim, or even vinyl, the pants that have made the fashion headlines this season are very long and very large. For the most compelling inspiration, take a look at DKNY, Ports 1961, Proenza Schouler or Ann Demeulemeester.

10

Colored fur

The sheer definition of absolute luxury, the fur coat is, undoubtedly, one of the designers’ most loved pieces. If you’re thinking classic, well, you’re in the wrong: this winter’s creations have modern cuts and outrageous colors, as we’ve seen at Max Mara, Blumarine and, of course, Fendi.
