Did you know Beckham owns a grooming brand?

The story of House 99, and which are the coolest products for your hair

It’s been good years since David Beckham has become a sex symbol. Ask any woman: she’ll say about him that he’s not just sexy, but also that he’s a classy man with a perfect outfit for every event. Of course, Beckham is aware of the women’s admiration everywhere, but also by that of men, who inspire from his look. A wonderful context, by the way, for the former football player to launch his own grooming brand: House 99.

“For me, grooming is not only about how you look, but how you feel. It’s about being comfortable, trying new things and shaping your next look. I created House 99 to give people the inspiration as well as the right products to try out something different and feel completely at home doing so. House 99 is here to support men, to give them the tools they need to create whatever look they are going for. Welcome to the House.”

Beckham said that he also wanted to create a community around the brand, that’s why he chose the name House. And the 99 number comes from 1999, which was very important to him: it’s the year he married, the year in which his eldest son, Brooklyn, was born, and the year in which Manchester United had enjoyed a a memorable success.

Because he wanted to create only quality products, which he would use himself, David Beckham tells how the team he worked with tested tons of formulas and ingredients, to pick the best. Spirulina and quinoa were chosen because they are rich in nutrients, antioxidants and vitamins, and because they give more vitality and strength to your hair.

Out of the many gorgeous hair products from House 99, we recommend two shampoos – one acting against dandruff and a shampoo for a thicker hair, but with more volume –, and, of course, the styling products. It’s about a medium hold pomade with a natural finish, a strong hair styling gel, and a high hold matte finish texturising clay, ideal for loose hair.
