You know very well what I am talking about. Even if you’re one of those guys who wear a beard, you surely recall the after shaving sensation. Not very pleasant, we can all agree here. I am one of those who shave daily. Not because I like it, but because I have to. So we’ve had, over the years, all sorts of products that recited after shave: I tried many and, finally, I found a few that work and that genuinely and quickly calm the irritated skin. And, as my female colleagues have asked me to write about it (they told me that they were not experts in this aspect, and I truly believe them!), I will list below the four products that I’ve used and which I really like.

Super Moisture Gel, Clarins
It’s a product that is not necessarily bound to use after shaving. I’ve applied it in the morning and in the evening, as it doesn’t only have after shaving soothing properties. The Active Shave Repair lotion is a blessing for the irritated skin after shaving. Created by Biotherm, especially for men, this after-shave lotion soothes, repairs and moisturizes the complexion. And, a very important thing for the sensitive skin: it contains no alcohol.

Hydro Master Gel, Shiseido Men
Shiseido is one of the brands famous for its products, particularly for the care ones. And Hydro Master Gel works wonders: it reduces the appearance of pores, purifies the skin, and fights against aging. When used after shaving, the moisturizing gel has an immediate calming effect.

Post-Shave Soother, Clinique for Men
Specifically created to be used after shaving, Post-Shave Soother is a care product that contains aloe vera. I learned this when I asked myself by what miracle, immediately after application, my skin is no longer red, irritated, nor dehydrated. Bottom line: it is absorbed quickly – I would go to the office immediately after using it!
