This year, before I started writing about gift suggestions, I’ve asked my friends what would they like to get. I’ve invited them to choose a single beauty product, whether it was a perfumery, make-up or skincare one. And, of course, I asked them to tell me the reason-why. The perfume
Irina (27 years old) told me that she desires a new perfume: Amo from Salvatore Ferragamo. It was launched this year, and she tested it at the airport before leaving on a skiing escapade. She didn’t buy it on the spot, so since then she only thinks about it! She likes it because it’s an oriental-floral aroma, with campari, black currant, sambac jasmine, rhubarb, Tahitian vanilla, ambroxan, and sandalwood notes. And it smells utterly sensational on the skin, she told me!

The make-up palette
Corina’s choice (31 years old) simply surprised me: she chose the Glamour on the Gold make-up palette from Givenchy. She took me by surprise because we know each other for such a long time and there are days when she doesn’t wear any make-up at all. “OK”, she said, “I don’t use make-up every day, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t adore quality products.
