Where to go skiing in Europe

For an unforgettable winter vacation

What is the most enjoyable way to start the year after the Holidays? Well, it’s simple: with yet another vacation! It’s one of the best moments to spend a few days skiing in the mountains, in a dream-like scenery. Where? Please see below.

1

Verbier, Switzerland

It’s the main resort in the largest ski region in Switzerland, 4 Valleys. A favorite spot for young people, but not only – there are ski slopes for all, beginners and advanced. You have plenty of accommodation options, but we recommend W Verbier in the Medran area, at the mountain base. The hotel has a modern design that blends with the traditional wooden elements. Plus a ski-in and ski-out and a superb indoors pool experience.

2

Bansko, Bulgaria

Even though, as a whole, it’s not such a fancy area as those you might meet in France or Switzerland, Bansko is a wonderful option for the lovers of winter sports: it is located at around 160 kilometers away from Sofia and has just perfect slopes. And, what’s more, you can choose a luxury hotel for a five star experience: Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena. Go to the spa as well: we guarantee you’ll never forget this fabulous experience!

3

Samoens, France

Located close to Swiss border, Samoens is a magical place, as if cut from a fairy tale book. The houses, the cottages and small huts seem dusted with sugar, the French wine is at its best, while the food is simply amazing. An excellent accommodation option is Club Med Grand Massif, Samoens, opened at the end of 2017. You also have here ski-in and ski-out, ski lessons, spa, an indoor and outdoor pool, and even an outdoor jacuzzi, surrounded by snow.

4

Tyrol, Austria

Austria is one of the countries so very well known for the winter sports, so it doesn’t really need any further presentation. If you arrive in Tyrol, you’re bound to go to the Aqua Dome – or even stay there for a few days. It’s close to the ski slopes, and in the resort you have the chance of a real treat: many interior and exterior swimming pools, spa, relaxation room and a magnificent view. You will want to come back. Again and again.

5

Val d’Isere, France

It’s any ski lover’s paradise – even though, at the same time, it’s a pretty crowded and expensive resort. On the other hand, this happens with any other exceptional holiday destination. Back to our spot, you’ll find lots of restaurants with delicious dishes and places to have fun after a day on the silvery slopes. For accommodation, choose Chalet Hotel Le Savoie: excellent location, superb rooms and just everything you need for complete relaxation: spa, swimming pools, sauna and much, much more.
