The beginning of the year is the time for planning, for making wishes, but also for reviewing and evaluation. As 2016 has just ended, we wanted to make a list of the most important looks we’ve seen on the red carpet and not only. Discover our selection below and get inspired from the celebs’ make-up looks.

Dark lips – this was one of the most influential trends of the year, immediately adopted by celebrities. Even Taylor Swift gave up her classic red lipstick for a darker shade when attending the Costume Institute Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
2
It’s hard to say what we liked most about the look Rooney Mara wore at the Oscars, in 2016. Everything was perfect – from the eyebrows to the eye make-up and lips. Even the hairstyle she chose was very cool!
3
Margot Robbie is in our top rankings for the bronzing make-up that truly becomes her. It fits perfectly with her golden outfit and blonde hair – we now understand why she stirred so much interest at the Academy Awards.
4
At only 17, Lily-Rose Depp (the daughter of Vanessa Paradis and Johnny Depp) became the image of the new perfume Chanel No 5 L’Eau. Basically, she gets on her mother’s footsteps who started her collaboration with the renowned brand in the 1990’s.

Also Dior has chosen, for its make-up line, a very young and on the roll ambassador: Bella Hadid. The novelty was announced in the spring of 2016 (when Bella was 19), and during the year we have seen a series of videos with different make-up looks worn by the famous model.

Cara Delevingne conquered the audience with a brilliant smoky eyes make-up and red lipstick. It’s just one of her memorable looks from august 2016, when she attended the “Suicide Squad” premiere in New York.

The glitter lips made the headlines in the autumn, at the Fashion Weeks. I’ve seen them at Fendi, Atelier Versace and DKNY, which presented their spring-summer 2017 collections. But, a few days before the shows, the whole world admired Naomi Campbell at the MTV Music Awards wearing glittery red lips. Wow.

Although 2016 has brought us a lot of make-up trends, a new movement falls into place and is catchier by the day: that of the stars not wearing make-up. Instagram is jam-packed with celebrities’ selfies who gave up make-up. Some even during public appearances. Alicia Keys, for example, attended the MTV Music Awards exposing a glowing complexion, but without any foundation or mascara. She repeatedly declared that she wants to adopt a natural look and that she doesn’t want to hide anything anymore – neither her complexion, nor what she thinks, or what her dreams are.
