It’s been a long time now that I’m dreaming about a French summer vacation, with a couple of days in Paris and, then, about ten at the beach, maybe in Normandy, Brittany, Provence (with its magic fields of lavender) or St. Tropez. With charming, tiny tables filled with plates of fresh clams and, for dessert, a fine assortment of traditional cheeses. A holiday where I would truly get to feel the pulse of France and, more, act like a genuine French woman. In this case, well, my luggage would be packed with everything that might remind me of France.

My beauty kit
If it’s summer, the sun protection products are a must, so it’s only natural to start with them: body cream and the stick for the sensitive areas, both from Clinique, with SPF 30. Make-up? Just a bit: in this vacation I won’t wear smoky eyes, nor dramatic eye lines. But I do need a BB Cream from Guerlain, again with SPF 30, a gloss (I adore Juicy Shaker from Lancome) and a waterproof mascara, also from Lancome.

A drop of perfume
French, of course! For the days in Paris, Rive Gauche from Yves Saint Laurent is just perfect. Then, when I will get closer to the sea, I would try La Vie Est Belle Florale from Lancome or Live Iressistible from Givenchy. For my boyfriend, the choice is simpler: Gentlemen Only Parisian Break, from Givenchy.

Accessories
First of all are the sunglasses: the ones from Dior, with light-colored frames, are super stylish. I’d wear them with a pair of shorts and with the Saint Barth T-shirt, stolen from my boyfriend’s luggage. Plus a turquoise watch, just like the sea, from Swarosvki. Jewelry? Just a few – in fact, the Swarovski charms only.
Books, music and films
I dream of quiet evenings spent on the terrace of a beachfront cottage, sipping French champagne. I would love to read Michel Tournier, listening to the music of Serge Gainsbourg, or, why not, treating myself with a classic French movie. My first choice would be Amelie.
