Grooming. Morning. Men

Let's get serious: even us, men, spend a little more time in front of the mirror. And that’s an understatement

I always set my alarm clock two hours before I leave the house. Half an hour is for snoozing, and the rest is time for myself: I hate to be on the rush. Even if I’m running late, I can easily give up my coffee, but not my grooming ritual. Well, let me take you step by step through my morning routine.

I’m still have asleep when I jump into the shower where I stay for some time, simply thinking about what I’ve dreamt. My dreams aside, most of the days I use one of those 2-in-1 products – shampoo and douche gel – to gain some time. My latest acquisition is from Clarins Men.

After my shower, it’s mirror time: I clean my face with Clinique For Men and then I quickly apply my Biotherm shaving gel. I wait for a couple of minutes, for the bear to soften, and only then I pick up my razor. When I’m done, I put on my Dolce&Gabbana The One after-shave. It’s my favorite. Not to mention it’s reliable: without it, my skin gets irritated and all. And this can really ruin my day.

Believe it or not, it’s only now that I head to the kitchen. Nothing sophisticated:

just coffee. I like to slowly savor it while reading the news. Then I go back to the bathroom, wash my teeth and use an efficient roll-on – L’Oreal Men Expert Anti-Marks. Next step: choosing my clothes and fixing my hair with just one tiny bit of hair wax. And last, but not least: the perfume. In perfect line to my outfit, obviously. I use Code Profumo by Giorgio Armani for the days in which formal attire is called for and Ralph Lauren Big Pony 01 for a more casual look.

But, no matter the occasion, I always apply my perfume discreetly, just a couple of puffs on my neck. And so my day begins.
