Lingerie
No, we’re not suggesting you leave the house only in your lingerie (although that would be an experiment, isn’t it?). But the designers propose us lingerie inspired pieces: spaghetti strap dresses or tops with lace details, as in the Givenchy, Balenciaga, Calvin Klein or Burberry Prorsum shows.

Colored stripes
The navy style is already a classic, but this summer the straps are wider and more colorful. As a reference, check out the Blugirl sequin dress, the white and red Max Mara dress and the playful white, green and transparent inserts from the Stella McCartney show.

Bloody orange
Coral is the color of this summer! Dare and wear it as they do it on the catwalk, without taming it with quieter shades. Only the accessories can be nude, black, metallic or, why not, also coral. In vogue, on the catwalk, were the looks proposed by Lacoste, Karen Walker or Noon by Noor.

Flower bouquet
The floral print has a special place this season. Again. Yet, as always, something is different: now, the flowers from the dresses seem picked from herbarium. Get your inspiration from Alexander McQueen, Erdem, Preen.

Oh, boy!
It translates into simple lines, structural pieces that seem stolen from your boyfriend’s wardrobe. Eventually, only in black and white. Pants with a crease and shirts that are sometimes replace by white blouses with modern details. The blazers and the vests have simple oversized cuts. The best examples are in the Dior, Stella McCartney, Boss and DKNY shows.

Mirror
Shine on! The new metallic pieces have nothing to do with discretion. So, we’re not talking about subtle iridescences or a small glittery accessory, but items that seem to be made out of mirror pieces: the Akris, Paul & Joe and Costume National dresses, the Loewe pants or the Iceberg jacket.

Fishnet
Valentino, Saint Laurent, Louis Vuitton, Akris and Proenza Schouler are just some of the houses that propose us fishnet pieces. The tops and the dresses are worn over a bra or a body for a powerful and bold look.

Grafitti
Specially in black and white, the graffiti patterns comes also in bold combinations: prints mixed with other prints, just like Max Mara, Tod’s, Hussein Chalayan sau JW Anderson.

Innocent
Although at the opposite of the powerful trends for whom you really need guts, some of the innocent and romantic looks also come with a small challenge: transparent inserts. I’ve seen them in the Dior show and they look amazing. But if transparency is a big no to you, get inspired from Isabel Marant, Roberto Cavalli or Chloé romantic and innocent collections.

Black lace
This season, the most popular lace outfits are translucent and all black: the Dolce&Gabbana top and skirt or the Ermanno Scervino, Lanvin, Chloé and Burberry Prorsum dresses. Rodarte doesn’t go with half measures but goes all the way, mixing the lace dress with lace tights.
