1

Feeling blue

At first glance, you’d find it hard to match. But the make-up worn by the catwalk models just proves you wrong. All you need is a bit of nerve and a blue eye shadow. Get your inspiration from 3.1. Phillip Lim’s fashion show (delicate lines of eye shadow) or from Dries van Noten (discrete glitter on the eyelids). How about a color mix? Then the silver eye shadow is the perfect match for the blue one.

2

Velvet lips

I know you’re used to saving the dark hues for the fall, but it’s time for a change, isn’t it? Get your bordeaux lipstick out now! You can go for a matte finish, like in the Burberry Prorsum or Emporio Armani shows, or for a sheer-finish, like I’ve seen at Givenchy. And if you want to go for a darker look, apply a dab of purple in the middle of your lips, like in the Miu Miu show.

3

Tropical cocktail

A tropical make-up goes well with a Hawaii inspired look: long silky printed dresses, a scarf in your hair and flowers around your neck. Attention, only happy colors are allowed: sparkling orange, turquoise and green are what Kenzo, Alexis Mabille and Stella Jean use abundantly in their shows.

4

Hypnotic eyelashes

More mascara than usual? Good news: that’s allowed this year! And not only black but also colored mascaras. Get your inspiration from the Marc Jacobs’ models with their bordeaux eyelashes or try an extravagant party look with false eyelashes, like Marni or Louis Vuitton bring into their shows.

5

Back to romance

The inspiration comes this time from the Alexander McQueen and Dior collections. The make-up is as sweet as a poem, with discreet pale rose hues all over: on the eyelids, on the lips and on the cheeks.

6

Boho curls

A totally effortless chic hairstyle, aka “I didn’t have time to get to the hairdresser”. But there is only a trick: the curls are loose and they look very natural and the hair is purposefully slightly messy. It’s worth giving it a try this summer. Just take a look at what Gucci, Hermès or Alexander Wang have chosen for their fashion shows.

7

Braided hair

Yes! It’s really easy to pull off this look, it’s probably your trick for those mornings when you overslept. But now it’s also a trend: Gucci, Céline and Simone Rocha use it in their shows. And if you want something really new, don’t braid your hair, only twist it, like JW Anderson did. Pretty cool, right?

8

Perfect match

Spring comes with new matching rules: nails with eye shadows. But check it out at how they do it on the catwalk: use pink and turquoise nail polish and get a turquoise eye shadow. Alexis Mabille does it and it’s a hit! Or if you have a strong color on your eyelids, use the same for your French manicure, like Monique Lhuillier’s models wear.
