Roman Holiday (1953)
The story: Audrey plays Ann, a rebellious princess who is bored by the protocol and court’s tight schedule. One night, during an official visit to Rome, she elopes from her residence. After wondering the streets, she falls asleep in a park where the American reporter Joe Bradley (Gregory Peck) spots her. The styling: From the gala elegant gowns, with a precious necklace and a diamond tiara, Audrey gets to walk free on the streets of Rome free wearing a belted circled skirts, flats, fitted cotton blouses and scarves. Sabrina (1954)
The story: Linus and David Larrabee are the sons of a wealthy family. The first is in charge with the family business, while the second spends his time having fun. Sabrina (Audrey Hepburn) is the family driver’s daughter and very much in love with David, who ignores her. After spending two years studying in Paris, Sabrina returns as a refined and seductive woman. But slowly, she no longer loves David, but his brother. The styling: Sabrina’s returning from Paris as a very chic woman is highlighted by a black satin boat-neck cocktail dress. Often wears leather ballerinas. This movie also marks the beginning of Audrey’s famous collaboration with Hubert de Givenchy.

Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961)
The story: Holly Golightly (Audrey Hepburn), a young woman from Manhattan, meets writer Paul Varjak, who had just moved in her building. They fall in love, yet, there is a problem: each of them is financially dependent on someone else. Holly, by the older men that she goes out with, and Paul, by his rich mistress. The styling: The most famous outfit worn by Audrey in this movie is the elegant black sation dress from Givenchy, accessorized with a statement necklace and long black gloves.

My Fair Lady (1964)
The story: Could a flower girl (Eliza Doolittle, played by Audrey) who does not speak English properly be turned into a real lady, worthy of the Embassy Ball? This is the bet that the linguist Henry Higgins wins. The styling: In this film, Audrey has a memorable appearance in a long white lace gown, with giant ribbons, a wide-brim hat and a matching tulle and lace umbrella.

How to steal a million (1966)
The story: Nicole Bonnet’s father is forging art masterpieces and sells them for a nice profit. The trouble starts when one of his statues, a reproduction, ends up in a famous Parisian museum. Nicole (Audrey) can save him only if she steals the statue before anyone could guess that is inauthentic. The styling: Givenchy created for Audrey some sensational 60’s outfits: sculptural white or vivid tailoring. The perfect accessories? Sunglasses, hats and gloves.
