4 make-up trends for spring-summer 2017

Red lips, pink and blue eye shadows or an explosion of color, just like in the flamboyant 80’s

Same as every year I go through the process of changing my wardrobe, switching from boots to shoes, just as well I feel the need to use new make-up products. I swap the fall shades for jollier ones – and this change gives me a tremendous pleasure. But, then again, as every time, I’m looking for inspiration. And the best sources of inspiration are the fashion shows, because that’s where trends are born. So, my new season’s favorites are the four below.

Vivetta

1

La vie en rose

Surely, pink tones are suitable in every spring. Just that, this year, I was happy to see them also in the make-up looks, on the catwalk: at Emilio Pucci, Tadashi Shoji or Vivetta. The pink eye shadow is applied on eye contour or on the entire eyelid. And my favorite product is a palette from Clinique, where you’ll find more shades, blending wonderfully with each other.

2

Blue as the sky

The make-up artists’ passion for blue – be it electric blue, turquoise or blue marine – is alive and kicking in this season, too. The gorgeous models wear these colors on the eyelids in the shows of Emilio Pucci, Victoria Beckham or Ports 1961. And I can’t help but be thrilled, especially since I discovered Ombre Hypnose Stylo from Lancome, which is so easy to use!

Maison Margiela

3

The ’80s

More specifically, a splash of color. And sheer madness. Leek green at Max Mara, fuchsia at Kenzo, purple and navy at Louis Vuitton, or pink and turquoise at Maison Margiela. And the best part is that this trend allows me to experiment and play with strong colors, that otherwise, maybe, I wouldn’t have even thought to combine. Secondly, I found the perfect reason-why to buy something new: an eye shadow make-up palette from Shiseido. It’s going to be a sensational combination with the pink and the navy blue I was yapping about a few rows above.

4

Daring red

No, there was no way I could forget the lips. My bet is on red: matte, satin or shiny. Blazing or tamed red, raspberry red or that shade with a hint of coral. The red I’ve seen in the make-up looks at Jason Wu, Valentino, Dolce&Gabbana or Trussardi shows. And my new favorite red lipstick is Rouge Interdit from Givenchy. Just try it yourself – you’ll understand!
